David Bell - Waypoint Trainer
After some research into Japanese views on the relationship between mind and body, David continued his career moving into teaching and progressing to Head of Psychology in a sixth form college in 1999. He has worked in the drug and alcohol sector since 2001 and spent 3 years as a drugs worker in Sheffield providing advice, information and counselling to young people from diverse backgrounds.
David also became involved in community based work, drug education and the training of practitioners and volunteers. From 2001 - 2007 he worked in higher education, as a part-time lecturer in Psychology at the University of Sheffield Institute for Lifelong Learning. David joined SASS (now Waypoint) as a trainer and counsellor in 2004 and has periodically stepped in to the manager role as the team evolved. David has a PGCE, a Certificate in Counselling, an MA in Philosophy of Mind, a BSc in Psychology with Sociology, a management qualification and a post graduate certificate in Japanese language.
