Residential Project that gives people an opportunity to rebuild their lives without alcohol in a supportive and stable environment.

Priory Road is a residential rehab unit which provides care for up to six residents who have alcohol related problems. Spaces are available for men and women who are experiencing negative consequences as a result of their drinking.

Priory Road provides:
  • Individual and shared rooms in a spacious, detached house situated in a leafy Sheffield suburb, about one mile from the city centre.
  • Focus on key areas to aid residents’ recovery and maintain abstinence through a programme of one-to-one and group sessions based on cognitive behavioural and solution focussed approaches.
  • A dry environment where other residents and staff help to formulate realistic and achievable plans.
  • Sober social activities, such as outings to the theatre, and group activities including yoga, bike riding, hypnotherapy and gardening. The service has key links with the ARC to provide residents with the support they need.
  • Resident participation in the ongoing upkeep and running of the house.
  • One-to-one support on departure to ensure that residents are ready to manage their own tenancy and cope with all the challenges of living independently in the community.
  • Assistance with starting courses, volunteering opportunities and employment while living at Priory Road.
  • Many residents also rebuild relationships with family and friends. Family visits are encouraged.

Priory Road takes people from Sheffield and neighbouring authorities. Please contact us if you are interested in accessing the service.
